All models of The Poultry Butler are constructed with plastic lumber, PVC and galvanized steel and come pre-assembled with everything needed for either timer or light sensor activation. Mounting tabs make installation easy and the two size options can accommodate the largest fowl. A horizontal activated model is available where mounting space is limited.

A unique mechanical clutch connects the door to the worm drive. The clutch holds the door securely to the worm gear resisting the prying action of a determined predator. However, if an obstruction prevents the door from closing the clutch will slip preventing damage to the motor and circuitry. Clutch tension is adjustable and the only maintenance required is periodic lubrication.
The Poultry Butler is constructed of poly wood and galvanized steel. The shallow depth prevents birds from roosting on the unit. The sealed design keeps birds and dust away from critical components. The paw guard is another deterrent from predators lifting the door. Mounting tabs make for quick and simple installation.
Converting to off grid operation is easy. A longer control cable makes outside installation possible.
The worm drive is a simple and efficient method of activating the door. The Poultry Butler incorporates a direct drive high torque enclosed gearmotor and a ½” worm shaft to provide the activation force.
The digital controller / timer makes operating the Poultry Butler easy. All units come with a standard three foot control cable. Additional cable lengths are available permitting you to place the controller/timer outside the confinement area for remote operation. An internal battery backup eliminates the need of resetting the timer’s clock in the event of a power outage. Pressing the “manual” button rotates you through the operational modes. The timer has multiple timing options.
